Welcome to TheBodyWork, a small Chiropractic clinic situated in the heart of Tunbridge Well’s award-winning fitness centre, Underground Gym.
I’m Craig Heaven. I specialise in Chiropractic Rehab and Prehab, with the goals of accelerating recovery, reducing the risk of injury and improving overall performance.
My aim is to provide a long-term solution, not just a quick-fix, to help you lead a healthier, more comfortable life, free from pain, as you pursue your daily activities and favourite sports.
I’m open for face-to-face appointments, exempt from government restrictions.
What’s Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a straightforward method of adjusting the bones and joints of the body to improve its alignment, relieve pain and discomfort, promote healing, increase mobility and restore function.
Chiropractic specialises in the treatment and prevention of conditions which show up as the mechanical dysfunction of joints, often triggered by sport, accident, stress, immobility, poor posture, illness and everyday wear and tear.
These in turn can result in compromised nerve and muscle function, reduced mobility, loss of strength and co-ordination, disease and of course pain.

How does it work?
Chiropractors use their hands to adjust the joints of your skeleton (both spine and extremities) where signs of restriction in movement are found.
The adjustments are very fast and gentle, applying small force in a specific direction, allowing your body to release stress, reset and enhance function and movement.
Your body’s own healing processes (which we normally recognise in its ability to deal with bruises, cuts and broken bones) will then be able to get on with the task of improving your health. This treatment is known as ‘adjustment’ or ‘manipulation’.
Who can benefit?
Chiropractic is beneficial to everyone, young and old, but particularly to professional and amateur athletes.
Numerous studies demonstrate that chiropractic care helps athletes accelerate injury rehabilitation, improve performance, and reduce the risk of further sprains, strains, and other sports related injuries.
Both high-impact and low-impact athletes can benefit from routine adjustments.
For high-impact athletes (Strong Man, MMA, Muay Thai, BJJ, Track and Field), chiropractic lowers the risk of injury and enhances flexibility, function and performance.
For low-impact athletes (Golf, Tennis, Swimming), routine adjustments can help relieve the continual, often asymmetric, strain that is being placed on the body.

How’s your alignment?
Good form is critical in improving your performance and preventing injury. Slight imperfections in the alignment of your spine and skeleton can compound small problems in form, turning minor mistakes into major issues, and often injury.
A chiropractor can help adjust alignment problems, free up existing restrictions, address dysfunctions and improve your overall form to maximize the functionality of your entire musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems.
Muscles build strength more readily and your joints move more safely and precisely when everything is aligned correctly thanks to regular chiropractic care.
